Monitor. The monitor is a full color400 234 pixels Liquid Crystal Display(LCD) graphic display. The monitorangle can be adjusted to minimize sunglare and has the capability of displayinginformation in twenty-seven differentlanguages.Pre-Start Check. Prior to starting themachine, the system will check for lowfluid levels for the engine oil, hydraulicoil and engine coolant and warn theoperator through the monitor in theevent display area.Gage Display. Three analog gauges,fuel level, hydraulic oil temperatureand coolant temperature, are displayedin this area.Event Display. Machine information isdisplayed in this area with the icon andlanguage.Multi-information Display. This areais reserved for displaying variousinformation which is convenient forthe operator. The “Cat” logo isdisplayed when no informationis available to be displayed.Seat. Seat provides a variety ofadjustments to suit the operator’s sizeand weight including fore/aft, heightand weight. Wide adjustable armrestsand a retractable seat belt are alsoincluded.Joystick Control. Joystick controlshave low lever effort and are designedto match the operator’s natural wristand arm position. The operator canoperate joystick controls with an armon the armrest and the horizontal andvertical strokes have been designedto reduce operator fatigue. Based on Caterpillartesting, the fuel economy of Cat engines with ACERTtechnology is 3 to 5 percent better than current competingtechnologies. This fuel economy is directly related to thecomplete combustion of fuel due to the integration betweenthe electronic control that monitors conditions, the airmanagement system that controls air volume and the fuelinjection system that delivers just the right amount of fuelas needed.Radiator Compartment. The radial air filter has a doublelayered filter core for more efficient filtration and is locatedin a compartment behind the cab. Easy access doors allowsfor easy, faster cleanout minimizing down time. Heavy-dutyscreen filters assembled on the door keep debris away fromthe radiator compartment, extending service intervals.ServiceabilitySimplified service and maintenance features save you time and money.Ground Level Service.
