Wai Sa Phaya Mengrai or Phokhun Mengrai Maharat Festival<br />
(งานไหว�สาพญาเม็งราย หรือ งานพ�อขุนเม็งรายมหาราช) or King Mengrai the<br />
Great Festival is held at the old <strong>Chiang</strong> <strong>Rai</strong> airport, objected to<br />
worship and pay homage to King Mengrai the Great who<br />
established <strong>Chiang</strong> <strong>Rai</strong> City. The main activities are the homage<br />
paying rite <strong>of</strong> King Mengrai’s royal ashes stupa, the Prolong Life and<br />
Oblation Ceremonies <strong>of</strong> the monument, Procession <strong>of</strong> King<br />
Mengrai’s Worship Offerings, “Wais a Phaya Mengrai” homage<br />
paying ceremony, the exhibition booths <strong>of</strong> the government and<br />

Dok Siao Ban or Dok Siao Blossom Festival at Phu Chi Fa (งานดอก<br />
เสี้ยวบานที่ภูชี้ฟ�า)<br />
is scheduled to be mid <strong>of</strong> February at Mu 24 Baan<br />
Rom Fa Thai, Tambon Tub Tao, Amphoe Theong. The activities are<br />
hilltribes cultural performances, hilltribe traditional games, Miss Dok<br />
Siao beauty contest, view Dok Siao (White Wild Bauhinias) in full<br />
