If you have already begunstudying in another country, you can enroll as a short-term student inFreiburg for a maximum of two semesters to extend or complement yourcourse of study. To enroll as a short-term student, you must be enrolled atanother higher education institution and you must include a copy of yourcertificate of enrollment with your application for admission. Please note: If you enroll as a short-term student, you will be allowedto take most of the courses and examinations in your field of study atFreiburg, but you will not be eligible to earn a degree. Please checkbeforehand to make sure the coursework you complete at theUniversity of Freiburg will be honored at your home university uponyour return.Exchange ProgramsThe International Office helps students in all fields of study to findappropriate exchange programs. It is only possible to participate in anexchange program if your home university has signed an institutionalagreement with the University of Freiburg. If this condition is met, you must25
apply to your home university, which will then decide whether you mayparticipate in the program.
