Animals on aircraftThe Macao Government requires the presentation of an application form (Licença deImportação Declaração de Importação or Declaração de Trânsito) in order to permit theimportation or transit of live animals (mammals, birds and reptiles), animal productsdestined for human consumption (meat, meat products, eggs, eggs products, milk, milkproducts) fish, crustaceans and molluscs.The application form is granted by Serviços de Inspecção e Sanidade of Instituto para osAssuntos Cívicos e Municipais (Tel: 28515952 Fax 28519303)No live animals, meat, animal products, fish, crustaceans or molluscs, can be brought intoMacao on board of any aircraft without holding:4.1. For live animals- International Animal Health Certificate (all animals)- Anti rabies Vaccination certificate (dogs and cats)- Vaccination certificate (covering other infectious diseases).- Such live animals must be:a) Carried and caged (with labels) in accordance with the current Live AnimalsRegulations of IATA (International Air Transport Association) and in such away as toensure humane management at all times if consigned as manifest cargo; orb) Carried and caged according to operators regulations and under specified condition ifconsigned in the cargo compartment as passenger luggage or in the cabin with the ownerpassenger.- Dogs and cats under 2 months old must not be imported.4.2. For meat, animal products, fish, crustaceans and molluscs- International sanitary certificate.- Such meat animal products, fish, crustaceans and molluscs must be:- Loaded in containers with only one kind of product or at least with products not likely tobe contaminated one by another.- Consigned as manifest cargo.Additional information:- In all above cases the owner/importer of the animals or products must, on arrival,produce the special permit for import the documentation certifying that it satisfies thesanitary requisites of Macao and present the animals or products for inspection.- Macao is a member of C.I.T.E.S (see Terms and Definitions).AMDT 14Civil Aviation Authority – Macao, China

Vegetal ProductsIt is only allowed the importation of vegetal products when through duly authorisedeconomic agents.a) Vegetal products are subject to phytosanitary control on arrival by Instituto para osAssuntos Cívicos e Municipais, and must make proof of having:- Phytosanitary Certificate- Origin Certificate (when the origin is not mentioned in the phytosanitary certificate)- CITES Certificate (when vegetals belong to endangered species)b) Only in special cases,allowed by Instituto para os Assuntos Cívicos e Municipais, isauthorised the importation of plants with soil.5. Transport of Dangerous Goods by Air5.1. Operators who wish to obtain:a) general permission for carriage of dangerous goods in aircraft,b) permission for carriage of particular consignment of dangerous goods on a flight orseries of flights,should submit their application by post or fax to AACM. Any application for thepermission must reach AACM at least 10 working days prior to the first flight for which itis required.5.2. Detail requirements and application procedure are laid down in the Aeronautical CircularAC/OPS/005 - Transport of Dangerous Goods by Air.
