comprehensive analysis <strong>of</strong> many variants <strong>of</strong> the solution without the need for a costly and<br />

energy-intensive research carried out on true models. In the study, various programmes have<br />

been used, among others, for material analysis (Pandat), operation (Ansys, Abaqus), and the<br />

technology <strong>of</strong> manufacture (MAGMASOFT, Flow3D). The conversion <strong>of</strong> design or <strong>of</strong> both the<br />

design and material requires the use <strong>of</strong> modern materials and modern manufacturing<br />

technologies, all in close cooperation carried out between the researcher, designer and<br />

technologist.<br />

“Development <strong>of</strong> technology for casting responsible titanium alloy<br />

elements improving in a significant way the technical parameters <strong>of</strong><br />

the equipment manufactured for the automotive industry, chemical<br />

industry, and medical applications”.<br />

A utilitarian objective is to develop a technology for the production <strong>of</strong> precision castings in<br />

reactive metal alloys, using water-based binders prepared from the colloidal solutions in SiO2,<br />

Y2O3, ZrO2 and CeO2, thus significantly reducing the thickness <strong>of</strong> the surface layer <strong>of</strong> casting.<br />

This should enable undertaking the commercial production <strong>of</strong> small responsible castings<br />

requiring in practice nearly no expensive machining.<br />
