Members of the newly formedGanges Centre Association and theirfamilies put brooms, rakes andgarbage bags to appropriate use, thenat the end of the day, hot dusty andaching (have you ever swept the K. & Rparking lot with a small broom?)rewarded themselves with a familypot-luck supper.The second phase came aboutthrough the combined efforts of theGanges Centre Association and theChamber of Commerce. Planters,hanging baskets and flowering plantswere acquired through the generosityof the members of these organizationsand private citizens. These wereinstalled during another volunteerwork bee, and a student was hired totend them all summer with theassistance of volunteers.
