Schaevitz ® A700 - SeriesDC-Operated,Single and Dual Axis AccelerometerIntroductionThe Sherborne Sensors’ A700 range of SolidState Accelerometers measure acceleration insingle or dual axes. The accelerometer utilisesMEM technology and has positive mechanicalstops confering excellent shock resistance. The -0101 version incorporates a temperaturesensor enabling each sensor to be indivuallycharacterised over its operational temperaturerange. A data sheet containing the characteristicoutput equation is supplied with each sensorenabling errors due to zero offset, sensitivityerror, linearity, thermal zero shift and thermalsensitivity shift to be minimised. By entering theequation coefficents into the host operatingsoftware, cost-effective high accuracy accelerationsensing may be achieved.Designed for operation from an unregulated DCpower source, the A700 is packaged in a robustaluminium alloy housing with an integral shieldedcable connection; the shield is connected to thesensor case. The cable may, as an option, befitted with an electrical connector.WIRE COLOURFUNCTIONRED 6.5 – 18 V Supply 1BLACK Ground 2YELLOWX-Axis outputWHITE Y-Axis output 3GREEN Temperature output 4BLUESelf-test input1 power supply input is reverse-polarity protected2 electrical ground is isolated from the case3 for dual axes version4 used on -0101 version1 Ringway Centre, Edison Road, Basingstoke, Hampshire, RG21 6YH, United KingdomTel: +44 (0) 870 444 0728 Fax: +44 (0) 870 444 0729 Email: sales@sherbornesensors.comWebsite: www.sherbornesensors.comA700 Series - Iss 4.doc
