Fügen, Fügenberg and Hochfügen<br />
Schlitters Trail No. 4<br />
Time: Fügen - Schlitters - Imming - Fügen approx. 3 hours<br />
Take the road from the tourist office to the Fügen-Nord entrance. The trail runs<br />
along a new track parallel to the federal highway, passing Camping <strong>Zillertal</strong> on<br />
the old road to Schlitters. In the centre of the village near Raiffeisen Warenverband<br />
turn right - go through the underpass and over the Ziller Valley railway<br />
tracks to Bruck as far as the district of Imming. Turn right here towards Hart<br />
- the trail runs alongside the Ziller river as far as Gasthof Neuhäusl - from<br />
there as far as the Ziller bridge, turn right again and past Fügen sports ground<br />
to Fügen.<br />
Goglhof – Kohleralmhof/Spieljoch lift mid-station Trail No. 5, Time: Fügen<br />
– Goglhof approx. 1 hour, Fügen – Kohleralmhof approx. 3 1/4 hours<br />
The trail starts at the tourist office and goes initially to the Marienberg church.<br />
Turn left into Graf-Fieger-Weg as far as a small bridge. From here, follow signs<br />
to Goglhof. From Goglhof, the trail leads to the highest farmhouse (Kühstein),<br />
and from there continues as a gravel track (approx. 200m) to the turning for<br />
the Spieljoch lift mid-station and the Kohleralmhof.<br />
Gasthof Sonnberg – Kohleralmhof/Spieljoch lift mid-station,<br />
Time: Fügen – Gasthof Sonnberg approx. 3/4 hours, Fügen – Kohleralmhof<br />
approx. 1 1/2 hours<br />
Start from the Spieljoch lift valley station and proceed for a short distance<br />
along the asphalt road as far as the Hotel Waldfriede - just before the hotel<br />
turn left uphill - initially over meadows and then through woodland, with the<br />
trail climbing to the Gasthof Sonnberg.<br />
After Gasthof Sonnberg continue for a short distance on asphalt road - you<br />
then walk through woodland again towards the mid-station. Near the Obergäns<br />
farmhouse, the path meets the road. The last section of the trail is on the<br />
road as far as the mid-station.<br />
Fügen – Spieljoch lift mid-station – Geolsalm Trail No. 6a<br />
Time: Mid-station - Geolsalm approx. 1 1/2 hours<br />
The trail starts from the Spieljoch lift mid-station and initially climbs though<br />
woodland and then over Alpine meadow as far as the Geolsalm.<br />
Walk from the Geolsalm along a magnificent <strong>hiking</strong> trail above the tree line to<br />
the Spieljoch lift mountain station. Take the gondola lift back to Fügen.<br />
It is, of course, possible to do the walk in reverse by taking the gondola lift to<br />
the Spieljoch lift mountain station. Return to Fügen and the valley via the trail<br />
to the Geolsalm and on to the mid-station.<br />
Gasthof Brandegg and Gasthof Baumannwies Trail No. 6<br />
Time: Fügen – Gasthof Brandegg approx. 1 1/2 hours, Fügen – Gasthof<br />
Baumannwies approx. 2 1/4 hours<br />
Start out from the tourist office and proceed along the Rosenweg as far as the<br />
turning into the Putza valley - turn left uphill and follow the trail until it joins<br />
the road. Keep going for a short distance along the road until the fork - from<br />
here continue along the road as far as Gruaben - the trail passes through<br />
meadows as far as Gasthof Brandegg - from Gasthof Brandegg take the little<br />
used road to Gasthof Baumannwies. It is possible to continue the hike to the<br />
Spieljoch mountain station and/or the Geolsalm and the Gartalm along the<br />
forest path.<br />
Spieljoch - Arzjoch mountain lake – Ski hut – Mid-station – Fügen Trail<br />
