Michael has vast experiencespanning 30 years working in the criminaljustice and health systems.Professor Paul MullenClinical DirectorMB BS, DSc, FRANZCP, FRC Psych.Professor Mullen also holds the positionof Professor of Forensic Psychiatry,Monash University. He was appointedas Clinical Director in 1998 and isresponsible to the Council and the ChiefExecutive Officer for the managementand performance of clinical services.Before joining <strong>Forensicare</strong>, Paul wasClinical Director of the then Departmentof Human Services managed forensicmental health service in Victoria.Professor Mullen has extensiveexperience in forensic mental health,having worked in leading positions inboth England and New Zealand. He hasan international reputation as a leadingresearcher and has published widely.Professor James OgloffDirector of Psychological ServicesBA, MA (Clin. Psych.), JD, PhD, FAPSProfessor Ogloff was appointed asDirector of Psychological Services inNovember 2001 and is responsible forthe delivery of psychology services acrossthe organisation. He also holds thepositions of Foundation Professor ofClinical Forensic Psychology at MonashUniversity and Director of the Centre forForensic Behavioural Science. Jim hasworked in the field of clinical and forensicpsychology in a variety of settings,including jails, prisons, forensicpsychiatric clinic and hospitals since1984. He has a strong research interestand has published 12 books and morethan 160 scholarly articles and bookchapters.Karlyn ChettleburghGeneral Manager, Inpatient OperationsRegistered Psychiatric Nurse, PostGraduate Diploma in Advanced ClinicalNursing (Mental Health)Karlyn is responsible for the managementand performance of Thomas EmblingHospital and our prison services. Shejoined <strong>Forensicare</strong> in 1997 and wasappointed General Manager, InpatientOperations in December 2001. Karlyn hasextensive experience in the mental healthsystem, and is the forensic mental healthrepresentative on a number of State andnational bodies, including the NationalMental Health Performance Subcomitteeand the Chief Psychiatrists QualityAssurance Committee. She has had past experienceimplementing services aimed at divertingsubstance abusers from the criminaljustice system and transitional programsfor offenders with mental health andsubstance use issues.Dr Douglas BellAuthorised Psychiatrist,Assistant Clinical Director,(Inpatient Operations)MBBS, MMed, FRANZCPDoug has worked as a consultantpsychiatrist with <strong>Forensicare</strong> since 1997,and has held his current position since2002. His responsibilities over the yearshave primarily involved the inpatient careof acutely disturbed mentally ill offenders,along with clinical oversight andsupervision of our hospital and prisonbased programs and support of medicalstaff. Prior to training in psychiatry Dougworked for six years as the MedicalSuperintendent of a small rural generalhospital in Bangladesh. His areas ofparticular clinical interest includeassessment and management of violentoffenders, suicide in prison, ethical issuesin forensic psychiatry and the role of theforensic psychiatrist in court.Dr Danny SullivanAssistant Clinical Director(Community Operations)MBBS, MBioeth, MHlthMedLaw,MRCPsych, FRANZCPDanny is clinically responsible for theCommunity Forensic Mental HealthService. His psychiatric training was atthe Maudsley Hospital in London and atthe Royal Melbourne Hospital. He joined<strong>Forensicare</strong> in 2004 and was appointedAssistant Clinical Director in late 2005.Danny is also Honorary Lecturer atMonash University and Honorary Fellowat the University of Melbourne. He hasexperience across a range of servicesincluding the Multiple and Complex NeedsInitiative and Neuropsychiatry Units, andgained forensic experience in prison andmedium secure settings in the UK.Loretta ShealesManager, Human ResourcesBSci (Community Health), Post Grad Dip inEmployee Relations and Human ResourceMgt, M Ed (Rehabilitation Counselling)Loretta is responsible for themanagement and performance of theHuman Resource function of <strong>Forensicare</strong>.She was appointed Manager, HumanResources in October 2005. Prior tocommencing with <strong>Forensicare</strong>, Lorettaworked for several years in a generalistrole in human resources at a largeVictorian health service and in specialistrecruitment and workers compensationroles. Prior to this she worked invocational and avocational rehabilitationcase management of injured workers.John DalyManager, Business SupportJohn is responsible for the financialoperations and associated reportingrequirements of <strong>Forensicare</strong>, togetherwith procurement and logistics,information management and technologyand health information management.John is currently undertaking his finalyear of a Bachelor of Business –Accounting & Information Technology. Hefirst joined <strong>Forensicare</strong> from the prisonsystem in January 1996, and has gainedwide experience working in all financialareas of the organisation. John has beeninstrumental in ensuring <strong>Forensicare</strong> isfully compliant with all financial andgovernance requirements.Tom DaltonCorporate CounselBA, LLBTom commenced with <strong>Forensicare</strong>as Corporate Counsel in 1999. He isresponsible for providing high level legaladvice to the organisation and staff onthe statutory and other legal obligationswhich impact on our operations. Heis also responsible for management ofour external contracts, briefing externallawyers and liaison with our insurers.He works with other Executive memberson risk management and policy issues.Prior to commencing with <strong>Forensicare</strong>,Tom worked for 5 years within the LegalUnit of the Department of HumanServices advising on mental health andintellectual disability law, and has alsoworked in Community Legal Centres andprivate practice.Sue BriggsSenior AdviserBA, BSWSue has organisation wide responsibilityfor policy, planning and reporting, andour communication activities. She joined<strong>Forensicare</strong> in 1998 after having managedPrison Health Services in the Departmentof Human Services (then part of theForensic Health Service).
