The inner axis(azimuth) table top supports the payload or UnitUnder Test (UUT). The inner axis is driven by adirect drive brushless motor. To keep the testarticle optical gimbal or sensor focal point at theaxis intersection a large offset is necessary.The outer axis (elevation) is driven by two directdrive brushless motors.The elevation axis is equipped with a stow lockto facilitate the installation of the UUT.Electrical access to the UUT is performedthrough slipring assemblies which enablecontinuous rotation. A wide variety of slipringcapsule designs and wiring schematics areavailable.The ACUTROL®3000 controls the table. Thedigital controller has a touch sensitive operatorinterface and scalable analog input/outputinterface.
