The McLaren Production Centre is a new build adjacent to the existing McLarenTechnology Centre. Buro Happold delivered a multidisciplinary design within a 12week period and total building within 18 months of inception. The new facilities willbe used to build the new super cars that are set to launch in 2012. The building is a2 storey deep basement with lightweight steel roof to sink the building withing thelandscape.The basement excavation required the removal of over 150 000m 3 of soil that wasused to re-landscape the rest of the site.
