General DescriptionThe Raven Dry-Bath Incubator is a safe, reliable means of incubating Ravenmedia tubes or self-contained biological indicators.The incubator consists of an aluminum block pre-drilled with incubation wellsenclosed in a sturdy plastic body. For ProSpore and ProSpore2 a removablepolycarbonate rack is inserted into the aluminum block. Media tubes andProTest are incubated directly in the aluminum block wells.The incubator is a preset temperature model to allow for incubation of bacterialspecies.A liquid crystal temperature strip is located on top of the aluminum block (orunder the plastic rack for ProSpore and ProSpore2 units) for easy, reliabletemperature monitoring.4


InstallationPositioning the IncubatorArea of OperationOperate the incubator away from direct sunlight, flammable materials orheating/cooling ducts.Support SurfacePlace the incubator on a level, heat-resistant surface.Electrical RequirementsYour incubator can be plugged into any standard outlet in country of use.Operational CheckoutPlug the incubator in and ensure the power indicator (green light) comes on.Allow the incubator to heat for approximately 30 minutes, checking that theincubator is cycling properly (cycling is indicated by orange light cycling on andoff).5


OperationPlug the incubator power cord into power source and into incubator.Monitor temperature indicator strip (current temperature indicated by illuminationof the background to a green color) located on the aluminum block (underneaththe plastic rack for ProSpore and ProSpore2 units) to ensure preset temperaturehas not changed during shipment or due to climatic conditions.WARNINGDISCONNECT FROM POWER SOURCE BEFORE CLEANING OR SERVICING6

If theunit does not perform as intended, contact the manufacturer or authorizedservice provider for repair/replacement. Return Material Authorization (RMA)number is required.8
