Articlesmay cover any aspects of turtle <strong>and</strong> tortoise news or research, with a preference for conservation or biology. TTN focuses onfreshwater <strong>and</strong> terrestrial turtles <strong>and</strong> tortoises; items dealing with sea turtles should be directed to Marine <strong>Turtle</strong> <strong>Newsletter</strong>,an independent <strong>and</strong> separate publication. Of particular interest to TTN are news items <strong>and</strong> preliminary research or fieldreports dealing with conservation biology, population status <strong>and</strong> trends, human exploitation or conservation managementissues, <strong>com</strong>munity conservation initiatives <strong>and</strong> projects, legal <strong>and</strong> trade issues, conservation <strong>and</strong> development threats,geographic distribution, natural history, ecology, reproduction, morphology, captive propagation, <strong>and</strong> husb<strong>and</strong>ry. Newsnotes,announcements, <strong>com</strong>mentaries, <strong>and</strong> reviews of interest to the turtle conservation <strong>and</strong> research <strong>com</strong>munity are also wel<strong>com</strong>e.Submissions will not be peer-reviewed, but minor review <strong>and</strong> final acceptance for publication is at the discretion of theEditorial Staff. Salzberg at the addresses above.TTN will be published approximately quarterly or periodically as the need arises by Chelonian Research Foundation withadditional support provided by Conservation International.
