They protect the wearer and thepublic because they provide accurate, courtadmissible documentation of an event. It’sa fact that complaints, false allegations andpaperwork are all significantly reduced.Why wear cameras?Following the Stacy Bonds case in 2008, Ottawa defenceTamperproof, evidence admissible TheLittle Brother ensures that whateveris seen or heard is captured.lawyers called for all police officers to wear cameras to protect civilians from police whomight abuse their authority. Every force who has employed bodycams has seen a reduction in the number of complaints made against officers. The chances ofthe wearer being assaulted or abused are also reduced as soon as people are aware that theyare being filmed.
