An illustration from Palakapya Gajayurveda, RORI, Jodhpurhandwritten editions of the Kangyur and Tengyur, theTibetan Buddhist Canon; major works of Tibet’s fourBuddhist traditions, the Nyingma, Kagyu, Sakya andGelug, as well as the indigenous Bön tradition. It is inthe process of completing a general catalogue of allmaterials in the collection. An important new projectfor the LTWA is the launch of the Central Archives ofthe Works of His Holiness the 14 th Dalai Lama. Thepurpose of which is to gather all materials concerningHis Holiness the Dalai Lama’s teachings, writings andspeeches.The Library signed the MOU with the Mission inSeptember 2003. The survey in this region has so fargenerated 95,998 data on manuscripts. The Institutehas conducted 25 outreach campaigns which werewell received by the participants. The MRC hascovered 10 private collections and 31 institutionscovering 4 districts.
