Kenny’s musichas been used to goodeffect for Line dancingover the years, (there arearound 140 dances onthe Linedancer DanceScript section) and as hereleases his 13th studioalbum, it’s time to fi nd outif there are any new gemsto dance to.DANCE 3 · LISTEN 5Kenny’s opening number ComeOn Over (88bpm) is a steadynumber with a powerful chorus andalthough not a great dance track,it’s a great start to the album.Feel Like A Rockstar (114bpm) isa crackerjack of a country rockerand is a duet with Tim McGraw. This has a driving beat and couldend up with a plethora of danceschoreographed to it.Sing ‘Em Good My Friend(86bpm) this is a poignant songwith powerful lyrics and Kennydoes an amazing job on the vocal.Welcome To The Fishbowl(128pm) Kenny switches moodwith this fantastic, contemporarycountry rocker, new country musicat its best and it is crying out tohave a good dance written to it.I’m A Small Town (70bpm) thetempo changes to nightclub twostep and Kenny’s rich voice is adelight as is the musicianship andthis should have a good dance toit soon.El Cerrito Place (66bpm) isanother smooth nightclub two stepwith a powerful beat and a powerfulmessage and I am sure that likeme, you will love this track.Makes Me Wonder (82bpm) adriving drum beat and punchylyrics combine to make this cleversong a foot tapper that will havefolks itching to dance. While He Still Knows Who I Am(60bpm) Kenny returns to thenightclub two step beat style oncemore and this real tear jerker is asgood a song as I have heard in along while.Time Flies (92bpm) has thepotential to be the most successfulLine dance track on the album. It has quirky lyrics with a catchychorus, strong harmonies andsome great guitar riffs. Simplybrilliant! To Get To You (55th and 3rd)(68bpm) you can tell from theopening few bars that this is goingto be a special song. This is KennyChesney at his absolute fi nest thisis my favourite track on the album.Always Gonna Be You (76bpm) isa master class in both song writingand delivery and songs like this arethe reason why Kenny Chesney isat the very top his game. The fi nale comes courtesy of YouAnd Tequila (70bpm) a live trackand is a duet with Grace Potter, agreat way to close the album.Once again Kenny Chesney hasdelivered a superb album and Ihighly recommend you get yourselfa copy real soon!www.linedancermagazine.com August 2012 • 31
