Gee Whizz!This has been a tough month for us all ….With our new weekly magazine and all the deadlines inherent to such aproject, it has been hour after hour of getting video files produced, put in theright format (why oh why are there so many variations of video and audiofiles…), researching and writing features, planning, interviewing, speaking toPR’s etc etc…But you know working for Linedancer Magazine always underlines how greatthis community is. Onlinedancer Weekly depends very much on dancers allover the world.Take our popular First In Line section… From our amazing talentedchoreographers who give us their dance, their time and are happy to justleave their ‘baby’ with us for weeks (it takes between four to six weeks foreach dance to come from script to release), to the wonderful team headedby Juliet Lam and Walt Hsu who are getting an international and deservedreputation for their excellence of quality and are constantly badgered by yourstruly to get weekly videos done, (Walt does all of the artwork and titles in trueHollywood style) to the amazing Glenn Rogers and his team providing us withthe soundtrack for our subscribers. These two pages are all dependent on theteam work from many people, all living away from one another and all withone common goal….delivering the very best product they can.The same applies to Vivienne Scott who works relentlessly to bring us hervaluable Focus On section, providing dancers with real databases andsuggestions on levels, choreographers and styles of dances that we all, toooften, get stuck in finding.Grapevine International is also an amazing feat every week with videos andpictures and texts coming in from all over the world. Clubs wanting to sayhello wherever they are to friends they will probably never meet but want tosalute and share their passion with!And what about Big Dave Gastap who gives valuable tips on dances to lookout for and does so every week, without fail. I very well know Dave does notjust pick three dances out of his hat… He loves Line dance and dancersfar too much for that and he gives us some REAL tips on what is about tobecome a big hit on dance floors all over the world. A valuable contribution forus all.Onlinedancer Weekly is a tall order, make no mistake. We knew that beforewe started it but thanks to our incredible worldwide team of players, thanksto their generosity, their patience (with me mainly!) their kindness and theirexcellence, dancers all over the world can and do enjoy a fabulous productthat we are proud of.
