NO RETREAT 3: THE French Front: May-JUNE 1940 v2.4 17D. OPERATION DYNAMOSet Up Procedure1. Place the round markers in the UnusedMarkers Holding Box. The Germanplayer receives three (3), and the Frenchplayer two (2), Initiative markers, on theirCross/Roundel side. These begin alreadypurchased and ready for use.2. Place the round Game Turn marker in the‘4’ box of the Game Turn Track with itsGerman side up. Place the square<strong>Victory</strong> <strong>Point</strong> marker in the ‘10’ box ofthe <strong>Victory</strong> <strong>Point</strong> Track with its Germanside up, and the round Battle <strong>Victory</strong><strong>Point</strong>s marker in the ‘1’ box of the VPTrack. The Weather marker sets up withits Good side up, and the British Aidmarker is placed, with its “-2 VPs” sideup, in the “Aid Pledged” box (that Eventhas already happened) on the British AidTrack.Both players’ Plan A markers are placedin the Plan Box (they have both successfullycompleted their respective A Plans,so there is no need to put them on their“unknown” sides for this scenario).3. Each player takes their remaining squareand hexagonal units, placing those with aReinforcement Number higher than 3or better in the corresponding Turn Boxon the Game Turn Track.4. The German player takes Plan card G5(Fall Gelb No5). The French playerdraws one Plan at random from cards F1(Plan Dyle A) or F2 (Plan Dyle B). Bothplayers can change Plans (12.7.2). Also:• The French player removes from thegame Plan card F5 (Initiative!*).• The German player removes from thegame Plan card G2 (Anweisung No2).5. Both players place their remaining unitsand the indicated markers on the map asshown.6. Shuffle the deck (of non-Plan cards) andplace them face-down along the southernedge of the map forming the Draw Pile.The German player draws, one at a time,4 cards into his hand, keeping any 2 hechooses (playing the “Must play” cards heopts to keep normally), and discarding theremaining 2. The French player thendraws 2 cards into his hand, (playing the“Must play” cards normally), keeping all 2(that were not “Must play” cards).7. Note the Game Turn 4 Event: ChangePlans.8.
