No substantial pa<strong>in</strong>t, dye or sta<strong>in</strong> residues have been found on <strong>the</strong> <strong>Shroud</strong>. 235. Bilirub<strong>in</strong> is achemical that turns <strong>the</strong> bile pigments reddish-orange <strong>in</strong> color, and is <strong>in</strong>dicative<strong>of</strong> severe jaundice, <strong>of</strong>ten brought on by physical trauma.
