Physician <strong>of</strong> the DayVolunteers Needed forFebruary and April 2007!The <strong>Indiana</strong> <strong>Academy</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Family</strong> <strong>Physicians</strong> (IAFP) and the <strong>Indiana</strong>State Medical Association (ISMA) will once again sponsor thePhysician <strong>of</strong> the Day program at the 2007 General Assembly. Yourassistance is needed! In this session, it is most important that familymedicine make an impression on our legislators. This importantprogram allows you to observe the legislative process firsthand and tomeet with your area representatives.The Physician <strong>of</strong> the Day Program is one in which IAFP membersvolunteer to spend one or more days at the Statehouse during thelegislative session. The purpose <strong>of</strong> the Physician <strong>of</strong> the Day Programis to provide episodic primary-care services, as a convenience, for thegovernor, legislators and their staffs during the time the stateLegislature is in session. The Physician <strong>of</strong> the Day will be introducedat the beginning <strong>of</strong> the day. Your day at the Statehouse will be from8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.We are in the process <strong>of</strong> scheduling physician volunteers for themonths <strong>of</strong> February and April.
