Conclusions and RecommendationsClimate migrants should not be consideredillegal migrants, or allowed to become anincreasing, non-integrated and de-stabilizingforce for the MENA and greaterMediterranean regions.Approaches to climate migration from otherregions of the world such as the circumpolarArctic and Small Island Developing Statesshould also be considered.Globally, there are important parallels forclimate impacts on indigenous peoples,pastoralists, and subsistence farmers andfishers; and perhaps cooperative approachesto adaptation and mitigation.
