The 445, 645, and945 series valves are rated to 18 000 psig at 100°F (1240 bar at37°C) with high-pressure ports. A packing adjustment may be required periodicallyto increase service life and to prevent leakage. Valves that have not been cycled for a period of timemay have a higher initial actuation torque. To increase service life, ensure proper valveperformance, and prevent leakage, apply only asmuch torque as is required to achieve positiveshutoff.Optional Gas Seat TestLeak testing with nitrogen at 5000 psig (344 bar) is available.Seats have a maximum allowable leak rate of 0.5 std cm 3 /min.
