e+L setting growth
targets for Asia
By K. Gopalakrishnan
At a strategic meeting
in China a few months
back, erhardt+Leimer,
which is headquartered
in stadtbergen/Germany,
adopted ambitious
targets for growth.
the global specialist
for sensor and control
technology is planning
to increase turnover in
Asia from the current
35 per cent to 50 per
cent of its total sales in
the medium term.
Mr. SEShADRI RAjARAM, CEO of Erhardt+leimer (India) Pvt. ltd.
Dr. Michael Proeller, Managing
Director, is very confident that this
goal can be easily achieved. “As
to the capital goods industry, Asia
is the most dynamically growing
market worldwide. High-precision
sensor and control technology is
required in almost any production
process there in order to guarantee
consistently high quality and efficiency.”
With its own plants in India,
China, Taiwan and Japan, sales offices
throughout Asia and a workforce
of 350 highly qualified people,
Erhardt+Leimer is already very
well-placed in Asian countries. But
still the company wants to grow
further. To this end it is intended to
raise staff in Asia to a total of 450
and to open new branch offices. As
a first step towards expansion a sales
office will be opened in Tokyo soon.
For many years the dynamic
growth in the Asian countries has
led to an increase in highly qualified
jobs at the company headquarters.
This is also one of the reasons why
Erhardt+Leimer ranks among the
biggest training companies in the
Augsburg area.
