OUR TOWNThe <strong>Town</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Ludlow</strong> is a suburban community located in the northwest corner <strong>of</strong> metropolitan Springfield. Boston is 84miles east <strong>of</strong> <strong>Ludlow</strong> and Worcester is 47 miles eastward. The 20,714 <strong>Town</strong> residents believe that <strong>Ludlow</strong> has establisheditself as a target for industrial and retail growth while maintaining its pleasant community atmosphere.Housing is available for the elderly, the handicapped and low income families. <strong>Ludlow</strong> provides two congregate livingunits accommodating a total <strong>of</strong> seven individuals, and has the largest Senior Center in Western Massachusetts.<strong>Ludlow</strong> Public Schools are comprised <strong>of</strong> five schools serving approximately 3,000 students in grades K-12. In addition,the <strong>Ludlow</strong> Schools operate an Early Childhood Program at East Street School. Headstart and Holyoke CommunityCollege/<strong>Ludlow</strong> Area Adult Learning Center are both located at 54 Winsor Street. St. John the Baptist School is theprivate parochial school in town.The Randall Boys’ and Girls’ Club Community Center provides the Latch Key program for children as well as a summeryouth camp and other recreational activities.
