Rhythm of life 60 x 90
The artist explored this new medium of artistic expression that she
calls “Recycle Art” during her treatment for Breast Cancer. This has
become her signature style.Rhythm of Life portrays the excitement of
life, like a dancing, explosive, celebration. Renewal springs from the
decay of death, creating new life, fertilised with the experience of time
and the memory of lover’s tracks much like the reminder of the past
on our DNA. The butterflies are symbolic of beauty, metamorphosis,
creation and survival. The stars are calling us to shine brightly where
we stand. Mostly it exudes the artist’s passion for beauty, harmony and
the brilliance of this wonderful life.
Lennie Johnson – New Zealand
Painting has always been my passion covering many subjects. Since
my daughter Annie has been diagnosed with breast cancer, painting
has provided huge relief from what could have become
overwhelming anxiety and stress. Whether patient or family member,
painting has the power to calm the brain and take that person out of
a “ high state of emergency”
