Pam McLaren - Victoria
Painting for me is like meditation. I began painting in 2001 after
treatment for breast cancer. Attending short courses in life drawing
and painting, exploring many styles and mediums. I am drawn to
vibrant colour applied by palette knife to large unframed canvases. My
art has played a large role in my recovery, helping me to move forward
and I am thrilled to be involved with the “Friends of kConFab” art
exhibition, raising much needed funds for cancer research. Other
works are available at Gallery Sorrento.
Patricia O’Gready - Victoria
My work is in an abstract style and I use a variety of media. I build my
ideas on the extension of the landscape. The work featured in these
two paintings come from a series I termed “Energy Series” where I
explored the idea of unseen forces and energies within the landscape.
I have owned and operated two Art Galleries. One focusing on modern
art and the other on sculpture.
