As a result of the liberalisation of the energy market, new tasks are assigned to the various marketparticipants, namely the network operators, traders, generators and customers. To focus on the respectiveneeds, a variety of technical options are required at the measuring point. Since the regulations forincentives have come into force, supplementary commercial aspects have aggravated the situation. This iswhere the flexible device concept of the Skalar ZMF comes into play and supports the market participantwith different solutions. The Skalar ZMF transmits the energy data in the standardised push or pull process. In pull mode, thedevice acts like a transparent modem. So the receiver can directly read data from the meter either viaGSM/GPRS or Ethernet®. Standard applications like FTP or email enable the application of the IP basedpush mode. Therefore the Skalar independently reads meter data and transmits them to an arbitrarytarget system. Regardless of your software, the communication operation of the Skalar can always beadapted to meet with the requirements; this offers investment security.Connecting the Landis+Gyr E350/ZMF120 to the meter is effected via the integrated serial interface.Communication is automatically established when the device is inserted in the meter. On this base, the device can independently read and transmit data at a configurable time.Data security is guaranteed by the internal user administration. The Skalar concept offers severalauthorisation levels with password protection excluding external not-authorised access to the device.Even when applied in an internet environment, the secure data exchange via VPN (virtual privatenetwork) is a top priority. Hence, energy data communication with the Skalar ZMF always means tobe on the safe side. The set-up is carried out by the configuration programme DeviceBuilder which tailors the Skalar to theapplication. The integrated schedular ensures execution of the determined tasks in realtime and extensiveapplications provide the required functions. In case of error function, the event logging will find solutionsto simplify the error search.Further information on configuration programmes, software applications, and GSM antennae maybe read in a separate product data sheet.TechnologyCasing:(Subject to modification)Communication module for Landis+Gyr E350/ZMF120; protection type IP52 (integrated); protection class II;protective insulation; dimensions approx. 95 x 165 x 45 mm (L x W x H); weight approx. 200 gOperating temperature -10...+55°C; storage temperature -25...+70°C, humidity 0...95 %, non-condensingEnvironmental conditions:Approval / Tests: Conformity: CE-conformityElectro-magnetic compatibility (EMC):in accordance with 2004/108/EG: DIN EN 61000-6-2 (interferenceresistance),DIN EN 55022 Class B (interference emission)Electrical safety: in accordance with 2006/95/EG: DIN EN 60950-1Insulation resistance:in accordance with 2004/22/EG (measuring devices):DIN EN 50470-1, DIN EN 50470-3GSM/GPRS modem:CE, GCF, R&TTE 1999/5/EGRemote communication: GSM/GPRS modem: Dual band 900/1800 MHz; transmission standard GPRS Class 10;Speed GPRS downlink max. 85.6 kbit/s, upload 43.2 kbit/s; SIM card reader forsmall 3V SIM cards; optionally configurable SIM chip; SMA portEthernet ® : Line speed 10/100 Mbit/s; RJ45 socket (8P8C)Serial interfaces: Meter interface: Manufacturer-specific interface of Landis+Gyr E350/ZMF120Service interfaces: (Para/Debug interfaces) signals RxD, TxD, CTS, RTS; transmission parameter 8N1;transmission speed 38.4 kbit/s; RJ12 port (6P6C)Service interfaces: Para/Debug interfaces; signals RxD, TxD, CTS, RTS; transmission parameter 8N1;transmission speed 38.4 kbit/s; RJ12 port (6P6C)Inputs and buttons:Signalling input (ME): 1 mA, 230 V AC, 50 Hz; ON > 85 V AC; OFF < 50 V ACButton:To trigger configurable processes (e.g. initiation)Outputs:Controlling integrated disruption unit of Landis+ Gyr E350/ZMF120Supply Voltage:Via Landis+Gyr E350/ZMF120 (supply over clip spring); power consumption 8.1 VA, < 4.8 W (peak),type 2.3 WMeter specific protocols: DLMS protocol; EN 62056-21 (previously IEC 61107) protocol; M-Bus (EN 13757) protocol;Modbus (RTU) protocol; SML protocolIP protocols:Challenge Handshake Authentication Protocol (CHAP); Domain Name System (DNS);Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP); File Transfer Protocol (FTP); Internet Protocol (IPv4);Password Authentication Protocol (PAP); Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP); Network Time Protocol (NTP);Transmission Control Protocol (TCP)Clients:File Transfer Protocol (FTP); E-Mail (POP3); IP-Telemetrie, DIN 43863-4 (IP-T); Network Time Protocol (NTP);Short Message Service (SMS); TAINY SwitchingCenter (TSC)Operating System:32-bit micro-processor system with realtime-multi-tasking operating systemData storage:2 Mbyte Flash memory; 2 Mbyte RAM memoryData preservation:Data preservation in case of voltage breakdown for a minimum of 10 days with a maintenancefree Gold-Cap ®Device clock:Internal realtime clock, accuracy -120...+10 ppm; power reserve min. 5 days, typical 10 daysUploadable softwareapplications:Basic applications:Additional applications:COM Emulation; FTP Telnet Server; FTP access data; IP-T/TSC-Client; NTP-Client;SMS-Client; TCP-Port/ToIP-Server; transparent modulePRM2LPEX; Skalar.870-5; Skalar.ftp; Skalar.gas; Skalar.mail; Skalar.mbus;Skalar.modbus; Skalar.online; Skalar.script; Skalar.tools2
