COMfor.adapt.E350Residential MeterLandis+Gyr E350 Integrated inthe Smart Metering SystemThe communication adapterCOMfor.adapt.E350 seamlessly integrates theresidential meter E350 from Landis+Gyr inthe IDSpecto.AMM Smart Metering Systemand enables data transfer from the meterto the Echelon Networked Energy Services(NES) System. The open standard system NESis a core element of the GÖRLITZ - SmartMetering Solution specifically tailored to therequirements for a rollout of intelligent meters.

IDSpecto.AMM with its Smart Metering Solution focuses on a worldwide proven technology. The Echelon NES meteringsystem connected as head-end-system has given evidence to be suitable for mass deployment in several large scale projectswith more than 3.8 million residential meters. Standards are consistently used such as the recognised OSGP protocol.Additional meters of different sectors can be connected via multi-purpose expansion port (MEP) and smart home interfacesare made available. The IDSpecto.AMM Smart Metering System provides secure end-to-end smart metering and optimisedsupport for mass and partial rollout.Benefits of the NES system can now be implemented in the residential meter E350 from Landis+Gyr. The communicationmodule COMfor.adapt.E350 integrates the meter in the Echelon NES system. Via secure interface, data are provided to IDSpectofor further processing. The added values of the IDSpecto.AMM complete system can thus be used without restrictions. The COMfor.adapt E350 permits the application of field technology E350 from Landis+Gyr and unrestricted use of thefollowing IDSpecto.AMM functions:- Support of Automated Topology Management (ATM)Communication with the electricity meter Landis+Gyr E350 is effected via manufacturer-specific serial interface whichis integrated in the meter housing when implementing the COMfor.adaptE350. Previous software or hardware updateis not required for installation in the field. Immediately after inserting the communication module COMfor.adapt.E350,full support of the Automated Topology Management (ATM) is available. This function can be configured for specificuser requirements. The meter is automatically detected by a concentrator and created via the NES system in theIDSpecto.AMM, and as optionally integrated in daily routine reading. A further option enables the interlinking withan existent device in the IDSpecto.AMM.- Support of wired or wireless M-Bus for max. 4 devicesParallel to this, optionally one connection for max. 4 wired M-Bus devices or remote collection of 4 wireless M-Bus devicesis intended. Initial operation of M-Bus meters for gas, water, heat is a simple routine on site. Similarly, the concept appliesto wireless M-Bus devices compliant to OMS. Required encoding processes and security demands are fully implemented.- Optional switching of relay output, load limitation and remote switching and end user interfaceThe communication module extends the E350 with a relay output for general switchings. Switching programmes can beestablished and cyclically updated both by the control station and on site. This provides an effective ripple control option. In addition, the COMfor.adapt.E350 can be extended with an end-user interface. In combination with the IDSpecto.enVIEWapp, the interface offers the visualisation of energy consumption data. Live /real time data and historical data may bedisplayed on mobile devices such as iPhone, iPad or as app.- Creating load profile data for visualisation of energy consumption and analysing purposesThe COMfor.adapt.E350 optionally creates a load profile for visualising energy consumptions. Configuration hereof issent to the communication module through the IDSpecto.AMM. The module ensures periodic reading and creation ofthe load profile.- Provision of new tariffs via remote configuration and forwarding of event and alarm messages(e.g. in case of tampering attempts)The COMfor.adapt.E350 manages as a link between metering point and control station, standard smartmetering processes in pull and push operation. The operation of the E350 follows the uniform handling concept of theIDSpecto.AMM. Consequently, daily operations are simplified since presentation and administration of the smart meterremain the same, independent from the manufacturer. And thus, subsequent processes become more efficient.Technology(Subject to modification)Housing:Communication module for Landis+Gyr E350; protection type IP51 (when integrated); protection class II;protective insulation; dimensions approx. 95 x 165 x 45 mm (L x W x H); weight approx. 300 gPollution degree: 2, compliant with DIN EN 60950-1Over-voltage category: IIIStorage temperature range: -25°C ... +70 °C (EN60721-3-3 Tab. 1, 2K3)Operating temperature range: -10°C ... +55 °CRelative air humidity range: 0 % - 95 %, non-condensingProtection class:IIApproval / tests:• Conformity: CE-conformity• EMC Directive 2004/108/EG• Low-Voltage Directive 2006/95/EG (for wM-Bus versions)• R&TTE Directive 1999/5/EG (for wM-Bus versions)• RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU• interference emission in accordance with EN 55022 Class B• interference emission in accordance with DIN EN 61000-6-3• interference resistance in accordance with DIN EN 61000-6-2• DIN EN 43863-1, general requirements / product standard• DIN EN 50470-1, -3 with respect to insulation requirements for device combinationLandis&Gyr E350 / COMfor.adapt.E350• Security in accordance with DIN EN 60950-1 (product standard of R&TTE and low voltage RL)• Standard concept IEC 61000-4-19 (compare DKE circular letter 767.1 2012-2009),interference resistance 2 kHz - 150 kHz.
