Reach Ahead <strong>Program</strong> (Gr. 8’s in 9) Grade 8 students have the opportunity to takegrade 9 classes (based on availability). Students earn credit for their class, thus givingthem a head start in secondary school, and moreoptions on their timetable the following year. Creates room later on for Advanced Placementcourses for university. Plenty of room in FI classes offers many creativeoptions for enriching the FI program both at 7/8and 9-12 level.


7-10 (Intermediate) Continuum Entire Intermediate division together Build Policy (ex. Essay writing and use of technology) Curriculum expectation continuum planning. EQAO/ Gr. 10 Lit Test planning/networking. Gr. 8 to 9 Transition 9’s returning in September to Gr. 8 teachers forguidance and “familiar place”. Used to bussing, building, class changes, beingaround older students.


Student Safety Supervised 100% of the time. Own wing/hallway close to office.. Moving as a homeroom group throughoutbuilding. Caring, observant staff with ownership overhomeroom group. Anti-bullying programs. Activities during lunch hour. Well defined Code of Conduct.
