These meaningsapply to <strong>the</strong> whole <strong>policy</strong> unless we say o<strong>the</strong>rwise. Throughout<strong>the</strong> <strong>policy</strong>, defined terms will be bold when used. The wordsand <strong>the</strong>ir meanings are given below. Words that use <strong>the</strong>masculine gender include <strong>the</strong> feminine and vice versa. Wordsusing <strong>the</strong> singular include <strong>the</strong> plural and vice versa.In this <strong>policy</strong>, <strong>the</strong> words ‘you’, ‘your’, ‘yours’ and ‘yourself’refer to <strong>the</strong> person or persons named on <strong>the</strong> schedule ofinsurance, his or her spouse or domestic partner and anyfamily member.The words ‘we’,’us’,’our’ and ‘ours’ means U K InsuranceLimited unless o<strong>the</strong>rwise stated.Aircraft – any device used or designated for flight, exceptmodel or hobby craft not used or designed to carry peopleor cargo.Bodily injury – physical bodily harm, including any resultantsickness or disease from physical bodily harm.Buildings – your home including its swimming pools,permanently fitted hot tubs, ornamental man-made ponds,fountains, tennis courts, terraces, patios, steps, service tanks,drains, septic tanks, underground service pipes and cables,sewers and drains, domestic fixed fuel tanks, driveways,footpaths, garden walls, hedges, gates, fences, lifts, fixturesand fittings, decorative finishes, radio and television aerials,satellite dishes, solar panels, wind turbines used for domesticpurposes, external lighting and security systems andequipment situated within <strong>the</strong> boundaries of <strong>the</strong> home and forwhich you are legally responsible.Business – a part-time or full-time trade, occupation orprofession, including farming or stud activities o<strong>the</strong>r thanincidental business.Business property – items of furniture, furnishings,equipment, supplies and stock used in connection with abusiness conducted from your home and owned by you.Collectibles – private collections of rare, unique or novel itemsof personal interest including memorabilia.Contaminant – an impurity resulting from <strong>the</strong> mixtureof or contact of a substance with a foreign substance.Contents – household goods and personal property, includingsatellite dishes, aerials that are owned by you, or are yourresponsibility or in <strong>the</strong> possession of you. If you are a tenant,contents includes additions, alterations, installations or fixturesthat you have paid for, or are responsible for, at your home.
