Clinical hours are followed with experiencedacupuncture-doctors supervising in their own practice.Auricular Therapy:The curriculum begins with a review <strong>of</strong> the history <strong>of</strong> auricular acupuncture all over theworld. The curriculum also addresses the anatomy, the embryology and the innervations<strong>of</strong> the ear. It also addresses the details <strong>of</strong> Nogier’s discovery and its evolution to thethree-phase system. The curriculum addresses the characteristics <strong>of</strong> the acupuncturemicrosystem in general and the bases <strong>of</strong> their ability to holographically reflect thememory retention pattern <strong>of</strong> the brain. The concept <strong>of</strong> auricular territories and auricularphases are discussed including the evolution <strong>of</strong> the auricular system from the simpleinverted fetus presentation to the sophisticated 3-phase system. The concept <strong>of</strong> the 7Nogier frequencies and the auricular zones with the various master points are alsoaddressed.The projection somatotopy <strong>of</strong> the three embryological tissues (mesoderm,endoderm and ectoderm) are fully discussed with their relative clinical application toacute, chronic and chronic degenerative pathology. The curriculum then takes thestudents to multiple clinical practice sessions <strong>of</strong> point identification and clinicalapplications <strong>of</strong> three-phase auricular therapy. Identification and treatment <strong>of</strong> energeticblockages are discussed. The students are guided on how to conduct a proper auricularconsultation and the application <strong>of</strong> treatment principles. The anatomical and thephysiological principles <strong>of</strong> choosing the appropriate ear for treatment are discussedtogether with the principles <strong>of</strong> using the various auricular needles, electrical devices, laserdevices, magnets, beads, and pellets. Multiple sessions <strong>of</strong> clinical practice are aimed atgearing the students to appropriately examine, diagnose, and treat various clinical andenergetic problems, like resistance to therapy, focus-therapy, addiction therapy, paintreatment.103
