MeasureWare Data Walkthrough:Global Disk Graph• GBL_DISK_UTIL_PEAK• Peak Disk % represents the time, in seconds,during the interval that the busiest disk wasperforming IO transfers. This is for the busiestdisk only, not all disk devices. This counter isbased on an end-to-end measurement for eachIO transfer updated at queue entry and exitpoints. Only local disks are counted in thismeasurement. NFS devices are excluded. Apeak disk utilization of more than 50% oftenindicates a disk IO subsystem bottlenecksituation, which may not be in the physical diskdrive itself, but elsewhere in the IO path.March 2004 Copyright © 2004 HP corporate presentation.
