The <strong>NTS</strong> Group (<strong>NTS</strong> in brief) is a family owned Austrian Company. The<br />

company mission is the development and marketing of service oriented POS<br />

software and retail management systems. <strong>NTS</strong> was founded in March 1997 in<br />

Wilhering near the provincial capital of Linz; Austrian locations are in Leonding<br />

near Linz and in Vienna. Due to the strong export level of almost 90% the<br />

management decided to also open offices in Rzeszów (Poland), Moscow and<br />

St. Petersburg (Russia). Today the company has over 150 employees.<br />

With the <strong>NTS</strong>wincash TM software package the software house has specialised in<br />

complete branch solutions for service-oriented retail. This area is characterised<br />

All major telecom service providers in Austria (e.g. A1 Telekom Austria) and<br />

Switzerland (e.g. Orange) rely on the competence of <strong>NTS</strong> software solutions. In<br />

Germany E-Plus and Telefónica O2 Germany are also equipped with<br />

<strong>NTS</strong>wincash TM . A number of Eastern European markets were additionally<br />

entered through the A1 Telekom Austria Group. Employees also work with the<br />

system ensuring a “single point of service” in the shops and the administration of<br />

the three major Egyptian providers. <strong>NTS</strong> then drove expansion further toward<br />

the Persian Gulf states such as Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar and Dubai.<br />

In the field of electrical and electronics stores, the innovative company has<br />

acquired orders from Medion (D) and Niedermeyer (A). <strong>NTS</strong> also won over<br />

customers in this industry in Switzerland, Saudi Arabia, Poland and Russia.<br />

The high export quota required considerable investments in market development<br />

of around EUR 400,000 annually. The <strong>NTS</strong> growth strategy prescribes active<br />

expansion into the following countries or regions:<br />

Through a global partner network, <strong>NTS</strong> is able to offer best on-site service to<br />

customers in Europe, Africa, Russia, the Middle East and the Asia Pacific area.<br />

<strong>NTS</strong> software solutions are however not just ideally suited to the requirements of<br />

the telecommunications industry. Public Services also value the high stability<br />

and reliability of services with individually adaptable functionality, the provincial<br />

governments of Upper Austria, Salzburg, Tyrol, Styria and Burgenland<br />

ordering so-called citizens’ terminals (POS systems with cash payment). These<br />

terminals also provide efficient workflows in local government offices in Graz and<br />

Steyr as well as municipal works and museums. After examination and approval<br />

by the Federal Ministry of Finance, the federal police force has also been<br />

cleared to use the <strong>NTS</strong> cash register and control systems.<br />

In 2003, <strong>NTS</strong> acquired a 70% stake in the Polish software company commit<br />

Polska s.p. o.o in Rzeszów (southeastern Poland). <strong>NTS</strong>wincash TM was<br />

introduced at the large retail organization m.punkt Poland amongst others. In<br />

addition, the employees working there also make an important contribution to<br />

development of the software.<br />

By entering the Russian market in 2008 <strong>NTS</strong> was presented with the next big<br />

challenge, <strong>NTS</strong>wincash TM was successfully introduced into the Rive Gauche<br />

perfumery chain, and the next job was not long in coming with the consumer<br />

electronics retail chain M.video with head office in Moscow. In addition, <strong>NTS</strong><br />

founded the wholly owned subsidiary OOO <strong>NTS</strong> <strong>New</strong> <strong>Technology</strong> <strong>Systems</strong> in<br />

St. Petersburg in 2010, the opening of another office in Moscow following in early<br />

2011.<br />

“In nature, the success of a species depends on its ability to adapt, a principle we<br />

Günther Schrammel. The USP of the <strong>NTS</strong> solution is that sales staff have all<br />

features they need for optimal customer service immediately available, made<br />

The leading POS and retail management software can also be used on Tablet<br />

PCs (such as iPad). In this way it serves as a mobile sales assistant terminal<br />

providing location employees with a new sense of freedom.<br />

"The <strong>NTS</strong>wincash TM sales assistant improves both consumers’ shopping<br />

experience and the quality of assistance" said Günther Schrammel summarising<br />

the benefits of the application. The sales discussion becomes highly<br />

individualised in that the customer defines their own important product criteria.<br />

The sales assistant then presents a comparison of relevant products. If the<br />

customer data is in the CRM system of the trading company, <strong>NTS</strong>wincash TM<br />

accesses this and offers are precisely tailored to the preferences and needs of<br />

the customer, resulting in greater in customer satisfaction. A Home edition of the<br />

sales consultant also provides a platform for direct communication with the<br />

customer. Customers can also share their shopping experience via a connection<br />

to social networks. The prerequisites for two-way or network communication<br />

are fulfilled.<br />

The leading Swiss telecommunications company Swisscom using the iPad<br />

as a mobile sales consultant for both the customer and the sales assistants has<br />

received a very positive response.<br />

To continue expansion and raise turnover from licensing and software<br />

maintenance, <strong>NTS</strong> is cooperating with globally active software houses and<br />

integrators such as SAP, Ericsson, Tech Mahindra and the Ali Bin Ali Group.<br />

SAP is the world market leader in the field of business computing solutions. The<br />

company recommends the <strong>NTS</strong>wincash TM software product by appointing it as<br />

an Endorsed Business Solution (EBS) for the entire region of the CIS<br />

countries. SAP Endorsed Business Solutions are complementary additions to the<br />

SAP solution portfolio and are developed according to their guidelines. These<br />

solutions are designed for companies that work with SAP applications.<br />

Together with SAP, <strong>NTS</strong> was able to win over M.video, Russia’s largest<br />

Consumer Electronics Retailer. This is a project with several thousand cash<br />

registers across all Russian time zones. 24/7 support is also provided,<br />

administered by the <strong>NTS</strong> service teams in St. Petersburg and Moscow. “We have<br />

concluded an agreement on the provision of software and consulting services for<br />

Retail, Store, Point of Sale and Store <strong>Systems</strong> with a contract value of up to nine<br />

million Euros for the next three years” states CEO Günther Schrammel.<br />

Over 14 years <strong>NTS</strong> has realised many projects incorporating customised<br />

solutions, the reference list is like looking at the who’s who listing of the<br />

international telecommunications industry.<br />

Telefónica Germany is with the O2 brand one of the leading telecommunications<br />

provider in Germany. With more than 1,000 O2 locations and 23 million mobile<br />

customers, stable logistics software is of exceptional importance. <strong>NTS</strong> provides<br />

The consistent quality and flexibility ensured by the <strong>NTS</strong>wincash TM solutions also<br />

impressed the Swiss telecommunications company Swisscom. The<br />

telecommunications service provider is one of the leading Swiss companies<br />

with around six million mobile customers and approximately 20,000<br />

employees. In order to generate competitive advantages, it is in the best<br />

interests of every company to design more efficient processes of various kinds,<br />

thereby ultimately increasing customer satisfaction. In the case of Swisscom it<br />

was the introduction of the <strong>NTS</strong>wincash TM repair manager which allowed<br />
