Jan 20 Banker to retire - Mr Tom Morrow, Manager of the Clydesdale Bank, Cluny Square,Buckie, for the past ten years is to retire at the end of the month. He began work inthe bank in Aberdeen 44 years ago. He left school to work in a fish shop but withthe fish trade in a depressed state in 1934 as it is now and in 1937 turned tobanking. Apart from 6 years war service in the radar section of the REME in whichhe was a corporal he has been in banking ever since.
