<strong>TITLE</strong>: <strong>Construction</strong> <strong>Site</strong> <strong>Supervisor</strong><strong>REPORTS</strong> TO: <strong>Construction</strong> Project ManagerSALARY RANGE: $30-$40,000<strong>JOB</strong> <strong>DESCRIPTION</strong>POSITION SUMMARY:Habitat for Humanity of the Chesapeake is a growing, multi-faceted organization that serves families inneed of decent, affordable housing while transforming entire communities throughout the Annapolis toBaltimore region. The <strong>Construction</strong> <strong>Site</strong> <strong>Supervisor</strong> position is a full-time on site job, responsible foroverseeing all phases of construction. This individual is part of the construction field team and reports tothe <strong>Construction</strong> Project Manager.RESPONSIBILITIES:• <strong>Site</strong> Supervisiono Train, equip, and supervise AmeriCorps members, volunteer crew leaders, partner familymembers, and other volunteers on site daily.o Prep job sites in advance of volunteer dates for maximum efficiency of the build team.o Ensure tasks are completed on time, on budget, and meet HFHC quality standards.o Oversee inspections, site security, and site safety.o Coordinate material estimates, orders, deliveries, and subcontractor schedules with Projectmanager. Manager. Provide spec, design, material, and subcontractor feedback as desired.o Submit permit requests as needed to Project Manager.o Coordinate AmeriCorps staffing issues with AmeriCorps <strong>Site</strong> Coordinator..o Coordinate schedule and tasks for Red Hats on site with Training Manager.o Communicate the “4x4” message to all site volunteers.• <strong>Construction</strong> Planningo Attend bi-weekly group scheduling meetings. Coordinate with Project Manager regardingvolunteers, shared tools, and other resources.o Participate in predevelopment and project design meetings.o Maintain project folder for each assignment; document all relevant changes, schedules, andactivities.o Update Project Manager of project status weekly. Alert PM of all delays, potentialoverruns, and changes in the Scope of Work.• Punch Out and Warrantee Work: as needed.QUALIFICATIONS:• Ability to read plans; familiar with standard building code and practice.• Bachelor’s degree preferred, 5 years experience in renovation or new construction.• Able to lift 50 pounds.• Must have a driver’s license.• Strong written and oral communication skills.• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.• Ability to thrive as a ‘team player’• Ability to prioritize work assignments• Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork• Desire to learn and succeed• “Self-starter” who can take initiative and manage multiple, simultaneous priorities• Flexibility and adaptability• Commitment to organization’s mission• Upbeat, positive, outgoing, personable and able to relate well with diverse populations and agegroups
