<strong>JOB</strong> <strong>DESCRIPTION</strong>TITLE: Chief Financial OfficerREPORTS TO: Chief Executive OfficerSALARY RANGE: $75,000 + (commensurate with experience)POSITION SUMMARY: The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will define <strong>the</strong> process andimplement <strong>the</strong> infrastructure/systems needed to support substantial growth over <strong>the</strong> next five to10 years. S/he will continue to effectively build and manage streamlined administrative/financialsystems, including financial, accounting, and human resources (HR). In addition, s/he willendeavor to foster relationships with Banks and o<strong>the</strong>r Financial Institutions to provide viable,cost effective, financial instruments to foster <strong>the</strong> growth <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> affiliate. As a member <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>senior management team, <strong>the</strong> director will be involved in strategic planning, evaluation, andpr<strong>of</strong>essional development initiatives.RESPONSIBILITIES:Financial Management• Review and approve preparation and finalization <strong>of</strong> monthly and annual financialreporting materials, (GAAP accounting) to <strong>the</strong> board <strong>of</strong> directors.• Administer innovative financing opportunities such as new market tax credits, flex cap,etc.• Oversee budgeting, financial <strong>for</strong>ecasting, and cash flow <strong>for</strong> administration, existingprograms, and proposed new sites.• Manage one full-time accounting manager and one full-time bookkeeper; hire and retainsupport staff as needed in <strong>the</strong> future.• Coordinate all audit, IRS and mortgage discounting activities.• Participate on <strong>the</strong> Finance CommitteeAdministrative Leadership and Management• Serve as a business partner to <strong>the</strong> CEO on <strong>the</strong> organization’s financial, budgeting, andadministrative processes—including HR, compensation, and benefits functions—with aneye to continuously developing and improving systems.• Ensure that <strong>the</strong> affiliate is in compliance to all local, state and federal labor laws.• Manage administrative vendor relationshipsQualificationsThe director <strong>of</strong> finance and administration will have at least five to eight years <strong>of</strong> pr<strong>of</strong>essionalexperience, including managing <strong>the</strong> finance and administration <strong>of</strong> a high-growth $10 million to


$20 million organization).
