Carried on French Paquebot 'Niger' at double rate andcharged '1 Pestetas' due in blue on arrival (July 3) via Lisbon. Side flap missing but scarce.Cert. Reverse with Buenos Aires arrival (Jan22) cds. Creased through one 20 r. but a fresh and fine cover. 54+ 59 6 300 (€ 250)20 r. reddish lilac in a horizontal pair and single 200 r. black used on 1871 cover from Riode Janeiro to Palermo, Sicily; cancelled by cork handstamps in blue with French type 'RioDe Janeiro' despatch cds below (Oct 30). Slit for disinfection on arrival (due to Choleraoutbreak in Brazil and Yellow Fever in Buenos Aires) and taxed with Italy 1870 PostageDue 40 c. tied by Palermo cds (Dec 5).
