(h)39background to <strong>the</strong> Draft Estimates and draw attention to thosematters which <strong>the</strong> Committee feels should be <strong>the</strong> subject for suchParliamentary debate; andto make such recommendations as <strong>the</strong> Committee sees fit andsubsequently receive comments and reports on suchrecommendations from <strong>the</strong> Government.(2) The Auditor-General or his nominee shall be <strong>the</strong> Secretary to <strong>the</strong>Committee and shall make available to <strong>the</strong> Committee <strong>the</strong> services <strong>of</strong> hisstaff and o<strong>the</strong>r facilities <strong>of</strong> his <strong>of</strong>fice.70. PARLIAMENTARY HOUSE COMMITTEELN 23/1995(1) There shall be a Standing Select Committee designated <strong>the</strong>Parliamentary House Committee whose functions shall be -(a)to consider and advise appropriate authorities on such mattersthat are connected with Members' terms and conditions <strong>of</strong>service;(b) to oversee and supervise matters connected with <strong>the</strong>management and administration <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> facilities and property <strong>of</strong>Parliament which are not provided for in any o<strong>the</strong>r specific rulesor regulations;(c)(d)(e)(f)to consider, decide on and advise Parliament on all matters thatare connected with Parliamentary business for its meetings andsittings;to examine and make recommendations on any matters which areconnected with <strong>the</strong> provisions <strong>of</strong> sections 62 and 69 <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>Constitution;to make rules and guidelines governing <strong>the</strong> Members' use <strong>of</strong>Parliament facilities;to report regularly to Parliament <strong>of</strong> any action taken pursuant to<strong>the</strong>se Orders.71. BILLS AND LEGISLATION COMMITTEELN 23/1995There shall be a Standing Select Committee designated <strong>the</strong> Bills and LegislationCommittee whose functions, in addition to <strong>the</strong> provisions <strong>of</strong> <strong>orders</strong> 50 and 55,shall be to -(a) examine such matters as may be referred to it by Parliament or<strong>the</strong> Government;(b) review all draft legislation prepared for introduction intoParliament;(c) examine all subsidiary legislation made under any Act so as toensure compliance with <strong>the</strong> Acts under which <strong>the</strong>y are made;
