<strong>Child</strong> <strong>Care</strong> <strong>Center</strong> <strong>Policies</strong>K-State CrossFit welcomes all children between the ages of six weeks and 10 years to our childcare andsupervision facility. We are proud to offer nursery services to all fitness members. Our mission is toprovide a safe, stimulating environment for your child while you work out. Please note that space islimited to 5 children at a time.Class times for which childcare is offered:<strong>Child</strong>care Rates Per Class (per family):Monday – Thursday 5:30pm Day Pass One Month UnlimitedSaturday 9:00am $3 One child $20 One child$5 Two children $30 Two children$5.50 Three children $35 Three childrenFor the safety of all children please review and follow the childcare policies below. These rules willbe strictly enforced so that each child has an enjoyable experience while in our childcare center.General1. <strong>Child</strong>ren are not permitted to be in the childcare area without staff present.2. Parents may drop off their child a maximum of 10 minutes before class start time and pick up nolater than 10 minutes after class ending time.3. Parents and legal guardians must remain in the gym while their children are in the childcare area.Parents may not leave the premise for any reason while their children are in the childcare facility.4. <strong>Child</strong>ren between the ages of 6 weeks and 10 years are accepted into the childcare facility.5. If your child is not toilet trained, you must supply diapers, wipes, and clean clothes. Please label allitems. Parents will be asked to remove their child from the childcare area if the necessary itemsare not available when needed.6. No food, candy, or gum is allowed in the childcare area. Clear drinks in spill-proof containers areacceptable. Please label all items.7. Bare feet will not be permitted at any time. Please have shoes and/or socks on children.8. K-State CrossFit is not responsible for any lost or damaged items brought from home. Any propertyyour child brings from home should be properly labeled. Coins, balloons, toy guns, and toy swordsare not permitted in the nursery.9. The childcare staff reserves the right to refuse childcare to anyone at any time.10. K-State CrossFit reserves the right to suspend childcare privileges from any member whoconsistently neglects the policies.


Sick <strong>Child</strong>ren1. <strong>Child</strong>care staff members are prohibited from administering any medications.2. Health regulations prohibit us from allowing children with any of the following symptoms into thechildcare area:o Flu-like symptoms (nausea, vomiting, headache, fever, diarrhea)o Reddened sore throato Rashes of any kindo Severe nasal discharge or productive cough3. <strong>Child</strong>care staff members reserve the right to refuse service if they deem a child too ill to renderservices. A child will not be accepted into the childcare area until they have been symptomfreefor 24 hours.4. If your child does not attend school due to an illness, they will not be admitted into thechildcare area.Appropriate Behaviors1. <strong>Child</strong>ren are expected to behave appropriately for their age group. Repeated disregard for rules orfailure to listen to childcare staff will result in a short “time out” for children 2 and older.Redirection will be used to address behavior problems for children younger than 2.2. Parents will be called to the nursery if their child is behaving inappropriately. If this is a repeatedoccurrence, a course of action will be decided upon by the parent and childcare staff. K-StateCrossFit reserves the right to suspend childcare privileges for a specified period of time, if deemednecessary.3. Parents will be called back to the nursery if their child continues to cry for a period in excess of 15minutes.I have read and understand K-State CrossFit’s childcare policies stated on these pages and agree toabide by them.
