SBS 17th Annual Conference & Exhibition Advancing the Science of Drug Discovery General Information Attire Casual business attire is recommended during all conference sessions, special events and in the Exhibit Hall (Men—slacks, polo shirts; women—slacks, skirts.). Please note, some restaurants may require a sports coat and/or tie. You may also want to wear a light jacket or sweater, as meeting rooms are air conditioned. The SLAS policy is firm. We ask that participants display their badge prominently upon entering all SLAS and conference functions. Electronic Devices As a courtesy to meeting participants, electronic devices must be operated in silent/vibrate mode within specific sessions; devices that beep, ring, etc. are prohibited. SLAS asks that you please do not conduct cell phone conversations while attending the scientific sessions. Your cooperation is appreciated. IKON Business Center Location: Across from the “Jump for Joy” Dolphin Fountain, Gaylord Convention Center Open everyday, 7:00 am to 8:00 pm 24-hour Internet access, 24-hour self-service printing, and copying IKON Business Center offers large document reproduction, offset printing and bindery services. For last-minute changes or projects, the business center offers 24-hour self-service printing and copying. 12 | SLAS.org/events/sbs11 Internet Connectivity Options All SBS Conference attendees who are staying at the Gaylord Palms have free unlimited use of wired and wireless internet in the sleeping rooms. If you are not staying at the Gaylord Hotel or you do not want to walk back to your room, you may utilize the Internet Café in the exhibit hall during open hours. Please note the computers are on a first-come, first-served basis and we request you limit your time to 15 minutes per session. Wireless connections are available for $9/day in the hotel lobby areas (this does not include the meeting lobby areas in the Gaylord Convention Center). You may also utilize the computers and internet at the IKON Business Center at their posted rates. No free wireless connections are available in the convention center space. Posters While posters remain up throughout the day of presentation, they are only staffed by the authors as noted below: Monday Poster Session (MP) 11:30 am – 1:00 pm (presenters are available) Tuesday Poster Session (TP) 12:00 – 1:30 pm (presenters are available) Wednesday Poster Session (WP) 12:00 – 1:30 pm (presenters are available) Press Conferences Press conferences are open to registered press only. For an updated schedule of press conferences, stop by the SBS 2011 Press Office located in Destin 1, Gaylord Convention Center. Printed Program and Abstracts The title and abstracts printed in this program are entered online by authors. It is not possible to fully edit this material. Information is subject to change. Shuttle Service to Theme Parks Gaylord Palms offers complimentary scheduled shuttle bus service to Walt Disney World theme parks and Downtown Disney. A daily schedule is available at the concierge desk. Smoking There is no smoking permitted anywhere in the convention center. Tape Recording/Video Recording Policy Please observe the SLAS policy which prohibits operation of tape recorders, video recorders, cameras, or camera phones, except for official association equipment, at all conference sessions, committee meetings, in the Exhibit Hall, and during the plenary sessions. Note: Throughout SBS 2011 we will be videotaping and taking photographs to be used for future SLAS promotions. If you do not wish to appear on camera, please notify the videographer or photographer and your request will be honored. Ribbon Guide Please feel free to approach any volunteer leader or team member with a question or concern.
