Acclaimed band‘bohola’ and other local music legendswill join the student musicians.A concert that features generationsof traditional Irish musicians andaptly named “Ó Ghlúin go Glúin”(“from generation to generation”,pronounced “Oh ghl-oo-in guh glooin”)will be held Jan. 28 in Chicago’sGaelic Park to benefit The Irish MusicSchool of Chicago. The school,founded by renowned fiddler SeanCleland, is dedicated to teaching andpreserving Irish musical traditions.The event will feature a 45-minuteconcert by the young and olderstudents of The Irish Music Schoolof Chicago. The school’s studentswon top honors at the 2005 Mid WestFleadh Choeil (pronounced “flahkee- ol”), the prestigious regionaltraditional Irish music competitionheld in St. Louis.
