Attractive village and important strategic site in Roman times, the settlement nestles<br />

just inland from the large sandy beach. Home to the Royal <strong>West</strong> <strong>Norfolk</strong> Golf Club.<br />

Now a popular sailing centre, this was once a Roman town and thriving port exporting<br />

corn from the local hinterland. The village is surrounded by atmospheric coastline with<br />

The village stands on the northern side <strong>of</strong> the Nar valley, known as "<strong>Norfolk</strong>’s Holy<br />

village boasts fine remains <strong>of</strong> a Cluniac Priory and mighty earthworks <strong>of</strong> the castle.<br />
