BEST BRED-BY-EXHIBITOR CRITERIAEVERY DOG ENTERED AT THIS EVENT IS ELIGIBLE FOR THE BEST BRED-BY-EXHIBITOR COMPETITIONIF THE ENTRY IS SHOWN BY A BREEDER-OWNER OF RECORD.• To be eligible for Bred-by-Exhibitor the appropriate box on the entry form must be checked.Dogs so entered will be indicated with an asterisk in the catalog.• All dogs in competition for Best Bred-by-Exhibitor, except International entries, entered under anacceptable individual foreign registration number, must be individually registered with theAmerican Kennel Club• All dogs in competition for Best Bred-by-Exhibitor must compete in the Best of BreedCompetition.• Dogs in competition for Best Bred-by-Exhibitor must be handled throughout the entire breed competitionby a breeder/owner of record• No handler change will be permitted for the purpose of becoming eligible for the Best Bred-by-Exhibitor competition• Dogs competing in the Best Bred-by-Exhibitor Groups and Best Bred-by-Exhibitor in Show must behandled by a breeder/owner of recordJUDGING SEQUENCEq BOBq BOSq Awards of Excellence. These awards (between 1 and 5 depending on the number of dogs entered)are presented in descending order, i.e., first Award of Excellence, second Award of Excellence, etc.All dogs in competition for Best of Breed except the dogs awarded BOB and BOS are eligible forAwards of ExcellenceJudging of Best Bred-By-Exhibitor.q Best Bred-By-Exhibitor in Breed will be selected from those eligible dogs competing in the Bestof Breed Class.q Best Bred-By-Exhibitor. The highest placing eligible dog that competed for BOB is the BestBred-by Exhibitorq If the BOB is eligible for Best Bred-by-Exhibitor, it is the Best Bred-by-Exhibitorq If the BOS is eligible, but the BOB is not, the BOS competes against the highest placed eligibleAward of Excellence Winner if that dog is of the other sex. If all eligible Award of Excellence winnersare of the same sex as the BOS, the BOS is awarded Best Bred-by Exhibitor.q If neither the BOB nor the BOS winner is eligible, the highest placed eligible Award of Excellenceentry is the Best Bred-by-Exhibitorq If the BOB, the BOS, and all Award of Excellence winners are not eligible, all eligible dogs thatcompeted for BOB compete for Best Bred-by-Exhibitor.q Prior to the judge making the Best Bred-by-Exhibitor Award, the steward must verify that thehandler is also an owner and the breeder.AWARDS OF EXCELLENCE CRITERIA1-5 Dogs entered: One Award of Excellence6-10 Dogs entered: Two Awards of Excellence11-15 Dogs entered: Three Awards of Excellence16-20 Dogs entered: Four Awards of Excellence21 or more Dogs entered: Five Awards of Excellence28 AKC/EUKANUBA NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP
ATTENTION EXHIBITORSENTRIES NOT ON THE OFFICIAL AKC/EUKANUBA NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPENTRY FORM AND PHOTOCOPIES OF THAT ENTRY FORM WITHOUT AGREEMENTAND RULES ON THE REVERSE SIDE ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE.No entry other than those qualifying for an invitation will be accepted. Please read rules andrequirements carefully.Fax, phone and online entries are acceptable (see below). The entry form for the Invitational isnot the standard entry form. Be sure to include all required information.Fees must accompany entries. Returned or postdated checks or declined credit cards do not constitutean entry fee.FOR YOUR CONVENIENCE: Check the appropriate box on the entry form if you prefer your entryreturn including daytime tickets to be held for pickup at all breed shows preceding your event. Ifentering online, please send request with dog’s AKC registration number to entries@onofrio.com.These will be available at the Superintendent’s table during Group judging starting on Thursday.All dogs present must be held on leash or confined to their crates except when being judged orwhen in the exercising ring.Class Cash Prizes: A form must be completed for all cash awards. Forms for all Bred-By-ExhibitorAwards must be completed in the name of the breeder. In case of multiple breeders, it must be thefirst breeder indicated on the entry form. All other forms must be completed in the name of theowner. In case of multiple owners, it must be the first owner indicated on the entry form. Checkswill be issued by Jack Onofrio Dog Shows, L.L.C. All cash prizes must be claimed by April 15, 2012.IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL EXHIBITORSClean-Up Is Your Responsibility at all Events and at any Hotel PropertyPooper scoopers will be placed at all x-pens, and clean-up personnel will be around the groundsand near all rings. If your dog soils the parking lot, show grounds or hotel property, it is yourresponsibility to clean up after it. By signing the entry form at these shows you are agreeing thatall clean-up is your responsibility. Violators may be subject to an event committee hearing.Exhibitors, The entire Convention Center and the hotels have 24 hour security cameras on theirgrounds. Anyone found to violate these premises without cleaning up will be subject to disciplinarymeasures that could result in suspension and the withholding of awards. Thank you.No gasoline or diesel generators are permitted inside any building or within 100 feet of anytent in which this dog show is conducted. NO motorized vehicles (including Golf Carts) ofany kind are permitted in the facility at any time.No flexi-leads inside the facility at any time.NO UNENTERED DOGS INSIDE THE BUILDING UNLESS IN ATTENDANCE AS A SPECIAL ATTRAC-TION DOG.All grooming will be indoors. Very limited space for chairs in grooming area.Grooming and crating will be supervised by “Kiarry Site Control” and “The Crew” who will bepresent to assist in the grooming areas. Anyone who refuses to cooperate with the staff ofeither company will be subject to disciplinary action.ALL CRATES AND TACK UNITS MUST BE STACKED.Crate and Grooming areas will be arranged in “Rows & Aisles” to facilitate exhibitors andensuring a safe and smooth operation of the event. These areas are under strict enforcementof the Fire Marshals’ Regulations.
