GRADUATION 2010Continued from pg.1Class Valedictorian, Jennifer Szotek (Notre Dame) addressed thecapacity crowd saying, “I would like to thank all <strong>of</strong> the facultyand staff, especially the teachers, who have guided us throughoutour journey at <strong>Marian</strong><strong>Catholic</strong>. When we fellshort <strong>of</strong> your expectations,you encouraged us andhelped us get to where weneeded to be. You gaveus the confidence, hardworking nature, and strongfaith in God that will carryus through our next phase<strong>of</strong> life. Down the road, wemay forget a complicatedmath or science equationor the meaning <strong>of</strong> a novelbut, because <strong>of</strong> you, wewill always remember whatit means to be a scholarwith a soul.”Senior Class President, Meaghan Waldron (Purdue) encapsulatedfour years <strong>of</strong> high school from a different perspective. “This yearbegan with one <strong>of</strong> the greatest experiences <strong>of</strong> my senior year:Kairos 135. Kairos helped me bond with long-time friends,make new friends, and strengthen my relationship with God.It was through God’s help we got through the last four years.We’ve celebrated countless Masses together, and we shared in theEucharist as ministers <strong>of</strong> the body and blood <strong>of</strong> Christ.”Just before the end <strong>of</strong> the ceremony, Sister Judine addressed theClass <strong>of</strong> 2010 for the last time.“No matter where life takes you,” Sister said, “<strong>Marian</strong> <strong>Catholic</strong><strong>High</strong> <strong>School</strong> will always be a part <strong>of</strong> who you are. The diplomayou take with you tonight honors you as one who was educatedand spiritually nourished in the rich tradition <strong>of</strong> Dominican truth.May you always remember that prayer, study, community, andservice create a firm foundation upon which all your future dreamscan be built.”MARIAN CATHOLICALUMNI ASSOCIATIONWELCOMESCLASS OF2010The Class <strong>of</strong> 2010 was welcomed into the <strong>Marian</strong> <strong>Catholic</strong> AlumniAssociation during an all-school Mass at the end <strong>of</strong> the year.Dominican Preachers, Gina Ceragioli ’10, Colleen Daw ’10, andMelissa Zambrano ’10, teamed up to share a message <strong>of</strong> change,growth, and future expectations.
