QUALIFICATIONS:I. A. ASSISTANT PROFESSOR CADRE:i. Good academic record with at least 55% marks or its equivalent at the Master’sDegree level in a relevant subject from a recognized <strong>University</strong>.ii.NET is compulsory along with one publication in NAAS (National Academy <strong>of</strong>Agricultural <strong>Sciences</strong>, New Delhi) rated refereed journal for recruitment to the post <strong>of</strong>Assistant Pr<strong>of</strong>essor and equivalent in the disciplines in which NET is conducted. Thecandidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by theUGC, CSIR, ICAR or similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET. Essentiality<strong>of</strong> NET can be waived-<strong>of</strong>f for the candidates holding Ph.D. degree provided it hasbeen done with course work as prescribed by the UGC Regulations 2009, and thecandidate has at least two full length papers in journals having a NAAS rating not lessthan 4 on the last date <strong>of</strong> submission <strong>of</strong> application. Those candidates with Ph.D.degree without course work will not qualify for NET exemption.iii. Ph.D. with course work is exempted for the post <strong>of</strong> Assistant Pr<strong>of</strong>essor <strong>of</strong> PhysicalEducation, Library Science, Computer Science and Statistics. However, thecandidates must possess Ph.D. degree with at least two publications.iv. NET/SLET/SET shall not be required for such Masters Programmes in disciplines forwhich NET/SLET/SET is not conducted. However, the candidates must possessPh.D. degree with at least two publications.v. The candidate should not be above 50 years <strong>of</strong> age in respect <strong>of</strong> SC / ST and 48years <strong>of</strong> age in case <strong>of</strong> others.INSTRUCTIONS:1. The candidates have to obtain application form through the <strong>University</strong> websiteonly.2. The detailed score card and qualifications for selection <strong>of</strong> candidates to the posts <strong>of</strong>Assistant Pr<strong>of</strong>essor in accordance with the <strong>University</strong> Notification displayed in the<strong>University</strong> website http://www.uhsbagalkot.edu.in.3. Persons with Physically Disabled are exempted from payment <strong>of</strong> processing feeprovided they must furnish appropriate certificate along with the filled-in applications insupport <strong>of</strong> their claim.4. Knowledge <strong>of</strong> reading and writing Kannada is desirable for the posts <strong>of</strong> AssistantPr<strong>of</strong>essor.5. The candidates who have studied under Trimester System and other than 10 pointgrading system are required to produce the equivalent percentage certificates obtainedfrom the respective <strong>University</strong>.2


6. Working hours <strong>of</strong> the <strong>University</strong>: 09.00 a.m. to 05.00 p.m. (On Saturday 09.00 a.m. to01.00 p.m.)7. Applications must be accompanied by attested copies <strong>of</strong> Marks Sheets,Certificates, Experience Certificates, Publications, Research Notes, Certificates <strong>of</strong>Awards/Medals, Certificates related to past service etc. and the details <strong>of</strong>research or related publication, if any, in support <strong>of</strong> eligibility.8. Further, in case <strong>of</strong> non-availability <strong>of</strong> candidates belonging to persons with physicallydisabled, the posts earmarked for the said category shall be converted to General Meritas per the provisions <strong>of</strong> the Government Order No. ¹D¸ÀÄE:08:¸ÁÀ»ªÀiÁ:95, ¨ÉAUÀ¼ÀÆgÀÄ, ¢£ÁAPÀ20.6.1995 and taken to future advertisement.9. The reservation in respect <strong>of</strong> Physically Disabled shall be made as per GovernmentOrders.10. Candidates already in service (Government/Quasi Government or Private) shouldsubmit their applications through proper channel. Candidates anticipating delay insending their applications through proper channel may submit an advance copy <strong>of</strong> theapplication. The original application duly forwarded by the parent <strong>of</strong>fice must reach this<strong>of</strong>fice within a week after the last date prescribed for submission <strong>of</strong> filled in applications.Such <strong>of</strong> the candidates who do not forward their applications through the parent <strong>of</strong>ficehave to produce a No Objection Certificate at the time <strong>of</strong> interview, failing which theywill not be allowed to appear for the interview.11. Applications / any other documents received after the last date and also incompleteapplications will be rejected. The <strong>University</strong> is not responsible for the postal delay.15. Furnishing any false information in the application form shall hold the candidate liable toaction deemed fit.16. Only short listed candidates based on the order <strong>of</strong> merit in the essential qualificationprescribed for the post will be called for interview in the ratio <strong>of</strong> 1:10. However, alleligible Ph. D. degree holders are exempted from this condition. The candidates have toattend the interview at their own cost.17.
