THAT the Joint Committee approve in principle Schedule A of the Joint ManagementAgreement entitled Monitoring and Enforcement, following endorsement from TeArataura and the Waikato District Council.CARRIED ON THE VOICESThe Schedule is to be workshopped with Councillors and Te Arataura Board members with aview to final approval at the next meeting of the Joint Committee.Agenda Item 5:DISCUSSION DOCUMENT – ADDITIONAL OR OTHER SCHEDULESResolved (Cr Dixon / Mr Maipi)THAT the report be received for further discussion.CARRIED ON THE VOICESAgenda Item 6:OTHER MATTERS6.1 Name of Committee – A name for the <strong>committee</strong> has not been decided. Will be raisedagain at the next meeting.6.2 Issues in Huntly West – Mr Maipi raised social issues in Huntly West and the <strong>joint</strong>responsibility for all the community to work together to address these issues.6.3 Maaori representation – Mr Tukiri raised the matter of Maaori wards. Mr Ion advised thatthis matter was currently being considered by Waikato District Council and that a formal approachAgenda Item 7:CLOSING COMMENTSCo-Chairs gave closing comments:Mayor Sanson: It is important that this committe “gets it right”. We will work together carefullyand thoughtfully to achieve that.Mrs Te Ao: We have a collective responsibility. We will strengthen our relationship and ensure thatthe Joint Management Agreement comes into full effect.There being no further business the meeting was closed at 10.35 am with a karakia by kaumaatuaPokaia Nepia.3
