Paschim Banga Sarva Shiksha MissionNIT/NIQ No- 002/ CM & ASDate:17.9.2010NOTICE FOR SEALED TENDER/QUOTAION FOR PRINTING OFBIMONTHLY NEWSLETTER ‘JOGASUTRA’ JUNE (2 nd ISSUE) 2010-11Sealed quotations/ tenders are invited from the reputed, bonafied resourcefulfarm/ agency/printing press having enough experience & capabilities in printing ofsimilar items in govt./semi govt./P.S.U s with a credential of printing of similarbooks worth at least Rs. 15000/- in a single tender during last 3 years supported bydocuments, for printing of bi-monthly newsletter ‘Jogasutra’across the state as per following specifications.Specifications:1. Process – DTP with offset colour printing.2. Finished size of the folder and booklet – 11 ¼” x8 ½ “ (approximately)3. Paper Quality - 170 GSM Art Paper4. Binding - Single Fold5. Photograph – colour (9), black & white (1) photographs [ Total 10 nos.]6. Quality -One soft copy for State Project Office & 3050 no. of hard copies for StateProject Office and districts etc.7. Pages - 8 (eight) including photographs.Terms & Conditions:1) The State Project Director (SPD) is not bound to accept always the lowesttender/ offered rates and reserves the right to accept or reject any or all thetenders without assigning any reason whatsoever. The Authority also reservesthe right to split the jobs/supply amongst the Printing Press /Firms/Agencies, ifdeems fit and expedient without assigning any reason, whatsoever.2) In emergent cases, the Authority reserves the right to obtain rates on ‘spot’ fromthe Supplier/Firm/Agency, even outside the empanelment/ empanelled list.3) Rates should be quoted by the tenderers in both figures and words and inaccordance with the tender specifications, mentioning the completion time forsupply and installation of hardware etc. as applicable and sought for.

4) Corrections if any, in the offer should be initialed and dated by the tendererbefore submission of offer. Each page of the offer documents must be signed bythe tenderer.5) Canvassing in connection with tenders or for any pecuniary interest is strictlyprohibited and the tenders submitted by the vendors, who resort to canvassingshall be summarily rejected and name of the vendor would be struck off from theempanelled list.6) In the event of tender being submitted by a Firm, it must be signed by eachpartner thereof or it must be signed by a person holding authority to sign thetender. Copy of letter of authority signed by each partner/agreement shouldinvariably be enclosed with the offer.7) Earnest Money @ 2% of the tendered amount shall have to be deposited in theform of Demand Draft / Bankers/ Cheque / bank Guarantee (to be valid for 6months from the date of submission of application). Earnest Money ofunsuccessful tenderers would be refunded within a period of 15 days from thedate of finalization of tender. No interest would be paid for such Earnest Moneydeposit.8) The Printer/ Firm/Agency shall allow the authorized representatives of thePBSSM to visit shop, godown as and when necessary.9) The tenderer shall offer rate per page for DTP as per specification, furnished inthe tender.10) Incomplete applications or applications received without the desired documentsshall be summarily rejected, without making any further reference/correspondence.11) Applications must be submitted in the official pad of the Printing Press/Firm/Agency duly addressed to the State Project Director, Paschim Banga SarvaSiksha Mission (PBSSM),Bikash Bhavan (2 nd Floor), Salt Lake City, Kolkata-700091 signed by the authorized signatory, mentioning clearly his contact no.,exact postal address of the Firm/Agency. The body of the envelope containing thetender& other documents should be clearly superscribed by-“Tender for Printingof Bi-monthly Newsletter ‘Jagasutra’, June (2 nd Issue), 2010-11’’.
