FCR XL-2&FCR XC-2Digital X-ray with Exceptional ImageQuality for Private Practitioners in anEfficient, Compact PackageApplicationThe Fujifilm Computed Radiography(FCR) XL-2 and XC-2 are digitalradiography systems utilizing storagephosphor Imaging Plates (IP) as anx-ray detection device.FCR XL-2 and XC-2 units scan andprocess x-ray image informationfrom an IP that has been exposedusing a cassette-type x-ray stand. This system can also print out hardcopies on film via a connectedimage recorder and can transmitdigital images to PACS.The FCR XL-2 and XC-2 providesgeneral x-ray imaging for PrivatePractitioners. FCR XL-2 and XC-2systems also include the capabilityto perform Pantomographic exams.FeaturesDue to the benefits of digitalimage processing, the systemproduces radiographs that have ahigh diagnostic value and are easyto read. Fast Scan (200µ), StandardHigh Resolution (100µ) and HighResolution (50µ) size using HR IP’sis possible with the FCR XL-2.Reading modes are user selectable.Fast Scan reading provides maximumthroughput for the XL-2 for both14x14” and 14x17” sizes, whilestandard HQ reading mode provides10 pixel/mm resolution image acquisitionand display for all intake sizeswithout impacting system speed.High Resolution (50µ) Scanning isavailable with the FCR XL-2 for18x24cm and 24x30cm sized (HRIP’s) making it ideal for orthopedicand extremity applications, whereseeing fine detail is critical. The system’s wide latitude and automaticsensitivity adjustment functionprotects radiographs from variationsin x-ray exposure conditions. Thisresults in consistent image densityfor all types of radiographs. Imageprocessing parameters are selectedthrough anatomical region selectionmenus. The FCR XL-2 reader can benetwork connected to multiple FlashIIP (Image & Information Processor)consoles and other FCR readers formaximum scalability and redundancy. The FCR XC-2 supports a dedicatedrelationship of the reader to the FlashIIP console workstation.A Flash IIP console workstation isprovided standard with each readerunit. Fujifilm’s Flash IIP is designedfor simple and fast patient identification, image viewing, reprocessingand optimization. It integrates patientidentification process (via manualentry or automated by connectionwith RIS/HIS using DICOM WorklistManagement) with Fujifilm’s intelligentimage processing and ability totransmit images to PACS and/or imagers. The Flash IIP features a simplifieduser interface, which allows for completepatient processing in as few as3 easy steps. See Flash IIP datasheetfor more information.OptionsDedicated XL-2, XC-2 cart: Heavyduty engineered stand providingcountertop and cassette holder spacefor the reader, with the CPU andmonitor of the Flash IIP console.
