The donorestablished the Cindy Walls Scholarship Fundnot only for girls and boys who are members ofcross country or track teams, but in general forstudents who meet certain academic achievementsand contribute to the betterment of theBishop O’Connell community. The Murphyfamily recently endowed the scholarship to ensurethat their gift will continue to enable O’Connell to enrichthe lives of students for years to come. The Robert J. andElizabeth K. Murphy Family Scholarship awards financialassistance for two students each year, one male andone female, who excel in math, give back in service andare in financial need.
