The new draft guidelines state that aged care workers mayadminister drugs of dependence in low care facilities under certain conditions (Further information aboutthe draft Guidelines is available through ACS <strong>SA</strong> & <strong>NT</strong>).Target audience:The sessions are designed for regional care workers who do nothold the following units of competence:• HLTAP301A – Recognise healthy body systems in a healthcare context (online delivery)• CHCCS305A—Assist clients with medication (workshopdelivery in a regional location)Overview:This course will be blended delivery: students will be requiredto complete the online course (HLTAP301A) before attendingthe workshop course (CHCCS305A). Students will be enrolledthrough TAFE <strong>SA</strong>. Students will be provided with ampleinformation about using the online course and support will beavailable from TAFE staff.Assessment:HLTAP301A (pre requisite for CHCCS305A)This online course will give participants information using avariety of different methodologies including written content,videos and interactive quizzes. Participants will gain basicknowledge of the normal structure, function and location ofmajor body systems.
